Since last Year not sure what had gone crazy in me, all of sudden i realized that chewing Chapati (Roti) utilizes much of my energy. I used to feel fed up in half Chapati itself. So I used to cook only Rice until someone urges me to make a Chapati.
I believe Rice is Most effortless ingredient to cook and for me the most effortless to eat...Haha..
The best thing about Rice is it cooks really fast. It can soak in any flavor into it so perfectly, Whether it be Mint Rice, Lemon Rice, Garlic Rice, Schezwan Rice or the Spices of any Biryani/Pulav/Masalabhaat.
Veg Dum Biryani
The best part of the Dum biryani is the Flavour and the Color. Mint is what gives the ultimate taste to any of the Biryani.
That flavour of the spices in which Rice is completely fusioned into and the final color of the Biryani simply blows my mind.
Here we have added Fried Potato, Cauliflower, Carrot and Green Peas and marinated in Mint Paste.
Chole Dum Biryani
Chole Biryani is a biryani with a difference. Instead of the usual combination of vegetables, this one is made with protein packed Chickpeas. Packed with Protein and Carbohydrates and aromatics, give this recipe a try in your kitchen.
KFC Rice Bowl
As usual this recipe too was a request from my Sis. Actually we both are not so much addicted to out side food. But KFC veg rice bowl is what we eat without missing atleast once or twice a month. Due to lockdown its been around 7-8 that we haven't ate it. So I thought lets give a try. Everyone at home simply loved it, especially the Gravy was awesome, which I too loved.
Layered Veg Biryani
Gobi Fried Rice
Well, I was bit disappointed by the way this rice was cooked. It was my Mummy Papa's Anniversary. I was in my Office call and I forgot to take out the Rice early, due to which it was overcooked. Even the Cauliflower didn't turned out much crispy and tough which again made me disappointed. Well anyways while eating everyone liked the taste of the Rice and were trying to appreciate me which everyone's family does.
Kala Chana Pulav

It was just a try receipe as we had little Kala Channa leftover and my Mommy asked me to use it. So I tried the Kala Chana Pulav. Added the Spices(Khade Masale), Onion, Tomato, Kala Chana and Rice.
South Indian Lemon Rice

This was the dish which my South Indian Besties used to bring in the Tiffin in our school days and I loved it sooo much. I used to ask my Mom to make the same and on the basis of my description my Mom used to make Fodnicha Bhaat(Not sure what is it called in Hindi), which was obviously awesome but didn't tasted like the one in the Tiffins.
I asked my friend next day, whats the rice receipe she told me that they add little bit of tamarind paste before adding rice and squeeze whole lemon into it. So its where the whole secret is.
Chole and Jeera Rice

It was always assumed at home that if its Chole then Jeera Rice must be cooked. Well this Jeera rice was not much of my Perfect types. I like to add much of Coriander and Jeera.
Daal Rice(Ghee) and Brinjal Potato Sabji

Well If you are an Indian, Boiled daal, Rice and Ghee is where every child starts from and loves it till the end. And what you add to it varies from time to time. Here I had made aaloo baigan which my Roomies simply love it.
I also like to pair daal rice with Methi ki sabji or Cauliflower or Tomato chutney...anyways depends on mood and availability of Veggies.
Secret - Add the Garam Masala and cook aloo baigan sabji in Cooker with very little water for just 1-2 Whistles. Trust me you will be unable to differentiate between shaadi wali sabji and this sabji.
Schezwan Fried Rice

Here I was practicing to slice the Vegetables in various shapes. When I cut Capsicum, Carrot, Onion, Cabbage in small cubes then what popped up in my mind was Schezwan Fried rice. We had little leftover rice to which I added the veggies and much of Schezwan chutney and Fried all together.
The whole secret is in maintaining the crunch of the Veggies, don't overcook it the Veggies let it be crisp and raw and then Enjoy your Schezwan Fried Rice.
Soya Chunks and Potato Dum Biryani
Long Grained Rice, Potato and Soya Chunks cooked on the Dum, served with Koshimbir.
Manchurian Fried Rice

Garlic Fried Rice

Just added many Small crushed Garlic in the Oil, plus the veggies and the Rice. Let the Garlic get little golden and make sure to add too much of it.
