My answer was straight No to this until 15 Jul'19 Morning. I had just started my day in the Office, was waiting for my Desktop to start after a Reboot. Meanwhile scrolling down the Whatsapp, I had received few messages from my friends and also noticed that everyone had such exciting, overwhelmed but similar Statuses - Regarding 2019 Finale between New Zealand and England.
(Though i'm very late narrating this scenario but i had never came across any Luck dependent situation like this)
It made me think what was so special about yesterdays Match. So I searched on YouTube for the same...
(Yes, I'm little out of the World many a times...It are my friends and Colleagues who keep me Updated..Thanks to you Guys..)
It’s hard to describe the most dramatic Match in words but will try to summarize here a little:
Match tied at 241 runs. A Super-Over was given in which ENG scored 15 runs.NZ had to score 16 to win. But what happens here was once again a Tie.
It can also be called as a Lucky Tie for ENG...!
Luck Factor 1 - In last 3 balls, ENG needed 9 more runs to win. Ben Stokes hit a ball and was on a way to complete a second run. NZ fielder caught the ball and threw it at Stump but missed and the ball touched the Boundary. Kumar Dharmasena (Umpire) instead of giving 5 runs declared it as a 6...(Ben's reaction - Man, I didn't did anything...)
Luck Factor 2 - Winner was decided by a team with maximum fours whereas NZ had more Sixes...(Probably a Pre-Defined rule)
Both the teams were the ones who never in a history had a fate of taking World Cup to their home. During the Match, there was not even a slight Acceptance of Failure or Success by both the teams. Only thing they knew was they have to give their Best till the End. Everyone on the ground carried - A Never Give Up Attitude...(I think it is what defines a Sports Person and makes them different from a Normal Person)
ENG Team - Finally, You won your first World-Cup. Such a joyous moment as Cricket is your National Game.
NZ Team and Kane Williamson -You won everyone's hearts.
In the current situation, the whole world knows Both the teams are Winner and have proved themselves 'The Best'. Difference is just a Cup.

In a day to day life people very easily tag Failure as a matter of Luck and give up on their Battle.
But I personally believe in Prestigious Failure - Where you don't leave even a Single Stone un-turned to achieve Success. Even if you fail, You will surely earn dignity and respect from everyone.

Martin Guptill, Everyone was so sad by your disappointed gesture when you got run out in a Super Over. Chris Woakes left his Celebrations and took a moment to Console you...(Such a touchy Moment).
But i bet Martin, when you were back home you didn't have to give any clarifications to your coach and Loved ones to tell them that you had given your best. Instead they would have said to you - You guys are remarkable and the whole world knows it...It was just a Luck!!
